Ora Franks, Jr., the son of Ora and Marie (Schmidt) Franks was born March 4, 1927 in Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the Good Samaritan Society, Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 93 years, 5 months and 13 days.

Ora lived all his life in Red Oak and was a proud graduate of Red Oak High School. He was united in marriage to Beulah "Billie" Burmeister on August 18, 1950 in Red Oak, Iowa. Ora was a dedicated employee for over 40 years to the Thos. D. Murphy Calendar Company. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Red Oak, Iowa. Ora was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Beulah on July 19, 2019.

Ora is survived by sister-in-law, Bonnie (Robert) Chastain of Omaha, NE; niece, Sue Chastain of Omaha, NE; nephew, Joel (Jean) Chastain of Gretna, NE; and 4 great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
