Patricia Ann Nelson, the daughter of George and Vera (Saville) Munro, was born April 1, 1946, in Red Oak, Iowa. She passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at the Red Oak Rehab and Care Center, Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 25 days.

Patricia lived her entire life in Red Oak, where she attended Red Oak schools. On April 9, 1977, Patricia was united in marriage to Lanny Nelson, in Red Oak. Patricia had a creative spirit and loved working with crafts, especially ceramics and porcelain dolls. She also enjoyed watching Walt Disney movies with her grandchildren, a time that was special and became a treasure. Music was another thing that brought joy to Patricia's life; she especially loved listening to Elvis Presley. Patricia was known for her infectious laugh, which lovingly earned her the nicknamed "Giggle Box." Patricia will be remembered as a happy-go-lucky soul, always ready for a new adventure around the corner.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lanny Nelson, on May 12, 2016.

Patricia is survived by three children: Violet (Jack) Walford of Red Oak, IA, Todd Mullen and companion, Diane of Corning, IA and Lynn Nelson of Omaha, NE; two grandchildren: Meghan (Andre) Shipley of Red Oak, IA and Kody Reynolds of Des Moines, IA; two great-grandchildren: Bibiana Reynolds and Ava Belle Shipley; and special nephew, Robert (Bev) Neligh of Woodbine, IA; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation with the family will be on Friday morning before the service on September 5, 2025, at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa at 11:00 a.m.

Memorials may be directed to the Red Oak Fire & Rescue Association.
