Patricia Ann Rea, the daughter of W. Cline and Leona (McMullen) Woods, was born June 11, 1929, in Lincoln Township of Montgomery County, Iowa. She passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Arlington Place, Red Oak, Iowa, the age of 96 years, 7 months, and 24 days.

Pat was raised near Wales, Iowa, where she graduated from Wales-Lincoln High School in 1946. For a brief time, Pat worked in Red Oak for JCPenney and at a local grocery store. On December 28, 1947, Pat was united in marriage to Thomas R. Rea in Red Oak, Iowa, and soon they made their home on a farm near Wales. Pat was a hard worker and enjoyed helping Tom with farm work; she was also a great cook. Pat relished the time spent with the neighborhood card club to play cards and visit. She was a lucky person, having won the new car that the Red Oak Chamber was giving away during the Red Oak Christmas drawing, one year. Pat was a faithful member of Faith Community Church, where her gift was working with and sharing Jesus to the children. For years Pat helped with the MOPS program that was held at Faith. She was also a member of Community Bible Study, where she helped with the nursery for 20 years. Pat loved God's Word and studying it at other Bible studies, too. A heart for giving, Pat volunteered many hours to Christ Cupboard Community Food Panty in Red Oak.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Thomas Rea, on June 15, 2000.

Pat is survived by her three children: Larry (Cindy) Rea of rural Red Oak, IA, Sharon (Dennis) Youngberg of Red Oak, IA and Deb (Mike) White of Indianola, IA; 5 grandchildren: Trisha (Andy) Gray, Melisa (Fritz) Baier, Cori (Ryan) Stanley, Jessica (Chase) Weller and Mandi (Kelly) Cowden; 10 great-grandchildren: Hannah Gray, Maggie Gray, Paige Baier, Bradley Baier, Joslynn Baier, Hailey Stanley, Tim Stanley, Realee Weller, Jemma Weller and Bo Weller; other relatives and many friends.
