Pauline Adel Powell, the daughter of David and Lovetta Curtis Sanquist was born August 16, 1922 in Montgomery County, Iowa. She passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Good Samaritan Society, Red Oak, Iowa at the age of 89 years, 7 months and 25 days. Pauline lived her entire life in Red Oak. She was united in marriage to Keith Delbert Powell in 1947 in Hiawatha, KS. Throughout Pauline's career she worked for the Griffith Hotel, Cooper Hotel and Johnson Hotel and then provided in-home childcare. She was a loving lady and treasured the many years caring for her grandchildren. Later Pauline lived with and cared for her mother. Pauline was a devoted Elvis Presley fan. Pauline's greatest enjoyment in life was her family and friends. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sister, Evelyn Lane. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Linda King and husband Ron of Red Oak, IA; three grandchildren: Jeffrey King and wife Nicki of Villisca, IA; Carrie Gray and husband Tom of Red Oak, IA; and Lori Gilleland and husband Jeremy of Elliott, IA; four great-grandchildren: Chelsey, Myah, Talya and Marley; along with other relatives and friends.
