Peggy S. Faris, 52, of Lincoln died on Friday afternoon, August 27, 2010 at The Monarch in Lincoln, NE. She was born to John H. and Audrey Kimble Faris on December 4, 1957 in Beatrice, NE. Peggy graduated in 1978 from Red Oak High School, Red Oak, IA. She moved to Crete in 1994 and lived there until moving to Firth in 2010. While at Crete, she was employed at Region V Services Workshop, worked at Doane College and was a volunteer at the Crete Rest Home She enjoyed her work, bowling with Special Olympics and visiting with her nieces and nephews. Survivors include three sisters, JoAnne "Jody" Ruhge and husband Allan of Lincoln, NE; Debra Stanek and husband Dan of Ohiowa, NE; and Bonnie Olson and husband Randy of North Carolina; one brother Jay Faris and wife LuAnn of Beatrice, NE; sister-in-law Cindy Faris of Lincoln, NE many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Audrey E. Kimble Faris and one brother Kim Faris. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at the Fox Funeral Home with Pastor Rod Pedersen officiating. Burial will be at the East Union Cemetery, at Union, NE. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice with the funeral home in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home from Monday noon until the time of the services on Wednesday. Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice is in charge of the arrangements.
