Obituary

Randy Lee Spencer, the son of Harold and JoAnn (Carson) Spencer was born August 3, 1957 at Winterset, Iowa. He passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at the Hospice with Heart House, Glenwood, Iowa at the age of 56 years, 2 months and 13 days. Randy moved to Red Oak with his family when he was eight years old and attended Red Oak Community Schools. He worked several different types of job in Red Oak, Corning and Lenox, Iowa. While he lived most of his life in Red Oak, he later lived in Clarinda and Glenwood, Iowa. Randy enjoyed watching TV, mainly action movies and had a knack working with electronic equipment. Randy was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn Spencer and two brothers: Scott Spencer and Harold Spencer Jr. Randy is survived by his father, Harold D. Spencer and companion, Donna Patrick of Red Oak, IA; children: Baron and Amber Spencer; sister-in-law, Alice Spencer of Holts Summit, MO; and special friend, Kathy Carpenter of Omaha, NE; along with other relatives and friends. May God bless his memory and give strength to those who mourn. Graveside Service will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak Chaplin Frank Fast, Officiating Family and friends will meet at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home for procession to the cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Open viewing will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. A memorial is being established in Randy's name. Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
