Raymond Eugene Gourley, the son of Keith and Clara (Hefflefinger) Gourley was born September 29, 1958, at Corning, Iowa. He passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Omaha, Nebraska, at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 21 days.

Raymond was raised in Villisca and attended Villisca High School. He lived in Red Oak, IA, for a brief time and then moved to Omaha, where he attended Metropolitan Community College. Raymond worked for an electrostatic painting company, and then for years, at Metropolitan Community College, Elkhorn Campus. Raymond served in the maintenance department, and he was still working at the time of his passing. Raymond enjoyed photography, riding motorcycles and his beloved house cats. He was a friendly person who could have conservations with anyone. Raymond was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Rita Kasha.

Raymond is survived by his sister, Kathy (Larry) Meier of Niobrara, NE, and brother, Wendell Gourley of Stanton, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home, Red Oak, Iowa.
