Richard Alan "Rick" Borem, the son of Walter A. and Carol (Loebach) Borem was born June 27, 1965 in Hammond, Indiana. He passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at the Clarinda Regional Medical Center, Clarinda, Iowa, the age of 55 years, 8 months and 7 days.

Rick was raised in the LaSalle and Peru, Illinois area. After graduating from high school, he entered the U. S. Navy, serving four years. Rick then lived in Pennsylvania, Colorado, Arizona and in 2008, moved to Red Oak. He was united in marriage to Debra A. Watts on January 25, 2015, in Red Oak, Iowa. Rick had worked for American Hydraulics, and most recently, Building Crafts of Red Oak. He enjoyed gardening, listening to music and was a person who could fix and tackle many jobs. Rick was preceded in death by his father, Walter A. Borem.

Rick is survived by his wife, Debra Borem of Red Oak, IA; mother, Carol (Larry) Eggeling of Red Oak, IA; brothers: Ron Borem of Illinois, Ray (Ann) Borem of Iowa and Ryan Borem of Ohio; sister, Robin Grove of Nevada; other relatives and friends.

Rick's wish was to be cremated and no service be held.
