Robert Dean Lewis, the son of Donovan and Shirley (Crouse) Lewis was born July 26, 1961, in Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away suddenly on Friday, July 9, 2021, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa, at the age of 59 years, 11 months and 13 days.

Bob was raised in rural Red Oak and graduated in 1979 from Red Oak High School. While in high school, Bob was proud and honored to have been a foreign exchange student to Toyoko, Japan. After graduation, Bob worked for Hy-Vee, ran his own cleaning business and was a DJ. He worked for Wade McKee Construction before moving to Tabor in 1998. Bob then started a 20-year plus career with Walmart as a sporting goods associate in Council Bluffs, IA and Bellevue, NE. Bob enjoyed fishing, shooting guns, making sausage, photography and golfing. He loved attending flea markets and garage sales and could never pass up a good deal. Bob also really enjoyed traveling and taking cruises. He was a member of the Tabor Coffee "old guys" Club. Bob was a carefree and happy go lucky person, never letting things get to him, and his laugh is unforgettable.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Thomas; and brothers-in-law: Kevin Anderson and Ronnie Coates.

Bob is survived by his spouse, Dianne Fritz of Tabor, IA; daughter, McKenna Lewis of Tabor, IA; sons: Josh (Leslie) Fritz of Tabor, IA and Zachary (Rachel) Fritz of Bellevue, NE; 7 grandchildren: Joshua Fritz, Jr., Aubree Fritz, Dean Langley-Rognlie, Zachary Fritz, Jr., Quinn Fritz, Devin Fritz and Xander Fritz; sisters-in-law: Cindy (Steve) Carnes, Deanne (Mike) Buffington, Michelle Study and friend Joe Kollars, Wendy (Chris) Blackman; and brother-in-law, Michael (Brandy) Coates; aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

At Tabor Church of the Nazarene, Tabor, Iowa
Burial in the Tabor Cemetery, Tabor, IA

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday evening, July 15, at Tabor Church of the Nazarene from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
