Roger Gordon Gray, the son of Thomas and Helen (Tollen) Gray was born September 21, 1943 at Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away on November 27, 2014 at the Kingman Regional Medical Center, Kingman, Arizona at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 6 days. Roger attended Red Oak High School. He entered the U. S. Navy on October 14, 1960, serving during Vietnam. Roger was honorably discharged on September 21, 1964. He lived and worked in Des Moines, Iowa and Omaha, Nebraska. Later, Roger moved to Texas and Arizona. Roger rode his bicycle all over the southwest United States, even riding back to Iowa. Roger was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers: Ernest, Daniel, Frank, Norbert and Robert; and three sisters: Eula Orelup, Katherine Lewis and Marcella Pister. Roger is survived by two brothers: John Gray and William "Bill" Gray both of Red Oak, IA; and sister, Mildred Gray of Minneapolis, MN; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. Military Graveside Rites will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa Rev. Caryn Pedersen, Officiating Family and friends will meet at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home at 10:00 AM for procession to the cemetery. Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home is assisting the family with services.
