Ronald Lee Dilocker, the son of Gerald and Donna Mae (Farlee) Dilocker was born December 24, 1954 at Cherokee, Iowa. He passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Methodist Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 58 years, 11 months and 4 days. As a youth, Ron lived in Cherokee, with the exception of a few years when the family moved to Los Alamos, New Mexico. In l967, they moved to Red Oak where Ron graduated from Red Oak High School in 1973. Following his higher education at Western Iowa Tech, Ron worked for RO MECH. He was united in marriage to Darnett Pelzer on March 12, 1982 in Elliott, Iowa and to this union three children were born. He later began a 10 year career with Fresco. On August 17, 1998, Ron was united in marriage to Amy Mirts in Las Vegas, Nevada and to this union a daughter was born. Ron enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting, woodworking and building model cars. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye football fan, past member of the Red Oak Elks Lodge and Red Oak Volunteer Fire Department. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Dilocker and step-father, Cleo Smith. Ron is survived by his children: Chrystynn Echternach of Red Oak, IA, Jeremy Dilocker of Red Oak, IA, Mallory Dilocker of Red Oak, IA and Samantha Dilocker of Tyler, TX; two grandchildren: Peyton Echternach and Josie Sampson; mother, Donna Mae Smith Walker and husband John of Red Oak, IA; and sister, Kimberly Dilocker of Omaha, NE; other relatives and friends. Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 2, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Red Oak Inurnment will take place at a later date in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak Rev. Dr. George Hooper, Officiating Visitation and Viewing with family present on Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home Memorials may be directed to the family.
