Ryan Dean Platt, the son of Paul E. and Fern F. (Ross) Platt was born April 7, 1957, in Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away on Monday, November 2, 2026, at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital, Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 26 days.

Ryan was raised on a farm west of Red Oak and graduated with the Red Oak High School Class of 1975. He began farming and continued for many years. On November 24, 1989, Ryan was united in marriage to Nancie Olson in Red Oak. Ryan later worked for the Parker-Hannifin Company and spent the last number of years with Bruce Supplies and Construction, both of Red Oak. Ryan loved to fish for walleye and hunt ducks, deer and turkeys. He truly enjoyed being in touch with nature.

Ryan was preceded in death by his father, Paul Platt; brother, Bryan Platt; and in-laws: Robert and Marilyn Olson.

Ryan is survived by his wife, Nancie Platt of rural Emerson, Iowa; children: Michael (Tracy) Platt of Gardner, KS; Hollie (Mitchell) Larson of rural Coin, IA; and Daniel Platt of Red Oak, IA; 5 grandchildren: Sydnie (Tristan) Rardon, Kaelin and Braden Platt, Laynie and Addison Larson; and brothers-in-law: John Olson and Micheal Olson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Cremation and has taken place and no service will be held.

Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation.
