Shane Michael LaMar, the son of Michael LaMar and Linda Tranbarger, was born March 17, 1974 in Red Oak, Iowa. He passed away on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at the Creighton Medical Center, Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 37 years, 11 months and 21 days. Shane lived his entire life in the Red Oak area. He attended Red Oak High School and earned his GED. Shane was a hard working person, having worked several years for Hy-Vee, 10 years with Batten Sanitation Service, and as a CNA in the health care field. Shane was also trained as a tub and shower specialist. Currently, he was employed at Red Oak Greenhouses. For the past 18 years, Shane and Amy Clark have been together and to this union a daughter, Trinity was born. He enjoyed shooting pool, music, and playing the video game, Tiger Woods. Shane was an avid San Francisco 49er's and Nebraska Big Red football fan. He had a big heart and was more concerned about others, than himself. Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents: Doyle and Ruth Tranbarger; and uncles: Randy Tranbarger and Jeff LaMar. Shane is survived by his companion, Amy Clark of Red Oak, IA; son, Lee M. VanScoy of Carson, IA; daughter, Trinity LaMar of Red Oak, IA; mother, Linda Cochran of Red Oak, IA; father, Michael LaMar of Stanton, IA; brother, Jacob Cochran of Red Oak, IA; sister, Jessica Greever and husband Richie and their daughter, Zoe of Essex, IA; grandmother, Carol Bills of Stanton, IA; uncle, Ronny Tranbarger and wife Glenda of Kimberling City, MO; along with cousins, other relatives and many friends. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home Visitation with the family present on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home A memorial is being established in Shane's name.
