Sharon Colleen Lasley, the daughter of Ora and Mary (Pitlik) Head was born November 26, 1933 at Peoria, Illinois. She passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at her home in Red Oak, Iowa, after an extended illness, at the age of 81 years and 8 months. Sharon was raised in Peoria, where she attended school and worked years for the Caterpillar Company. Sharon was united in marriage to Irvin D. Lasley on July 2, 1978 at Sparland, Illinois, and in 1980, they made Red Oak their home. Sharon continued working, as a flag person on highway construction and at ConAgra. Her life was centered around their family, as their children and grandchildren were very important. Sharon will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings. Sharon is survived by her husband, Irvin Lasley of Red Oak, Iowa; daughters: Becky Ceranek of Red Oak, IA; Shelly (Mike) Wood of Des Moines, IA; Teresa (Tom) Dickerson of Faribault, MN; and Jody (Donald) Cogburn of Hornersville, MO; son, Tony (Lori) Lasley of Newport News, VA; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Jack) Phillips of Washburn, IL; other relatives and friends. May God bless her memory and give strength to those who mourn. Celebration of Life Service will be held in Illinois, and also in Red Oak at a later date. Memorials should be directed to the family.
