Sharon Kay Phillis, the daughter of John and Norene (Sudduth) Cox was born September 25, 1949 in Omaha, Nebraska. She passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at CHI Immanuel Hospital, Omaha, Nebraska at the age of 70 years, 4 months and 28 days.

Sharon lived her entire life in the Omaha area. She attended Blair College and obtained a Medical Assistance Certificate. On October 25, 1969, Sharon was united in marriage to Dennis Phillis in Plattsmouth, Nebraska. She worked for Good Kind Direct and for insurance companies carrying out medical certifications. Sharon was an avid Elvis Presley fan and loved her cats. She enjoyed traveling to New Orleans and Graceland, watching old movies, playing the guitar and was a member of the Red Hats Society.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: David and John Cox and sister, Sandra Bechtold.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Dennis Phillis of Omaha, NE; nieces and nephew; great-nieces and nephews.

Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
At the Villisca Cemetery, Villisca, Iowa
Family and friends should meet at the cemetery by 2:00 for the service.

Memorials may be directed to the Omaha Humane Society.
