Shirley was married to Richard Keller for 25 years before his passing on October 9, 1981. For many years, Shirley worked at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, WA as a vault cashier. She was active in the Baptist Church in Lakewood, WA, serving as a Sunday School teacher. Shirley enjoyed crafting and painting with watercolors and oil, but favored tole painting, which she also taught. When Shirley's health began to fail, she moved to Red Oak to be near family. Most recently, she had been a resident of Griswold Rehabilitation Care Center, Griswold, IA.

Shirley is survived by her daughter, Brynn Sagen and husband Miles of Otis Orchard, Washington; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

May God bless her memory and give strength to those who mourn.
