Timothy Davis Ratley, the son of Oliver and Barbara Ford Ratley, was born March 10, 1966 in Longview, Texas. He died on October 31, 2008 in Ringgold County, Iowa at the age of 42 years.
Timothy graduated from Marshall High School, Marshall, Texas. Following high school, he attended Panola Junior College where he received his welding degree. Timothy served his country in the United States Navy. He enjoyed being outdoors especially when fishing and riding motorcycles. Throughout his career, Timothy was a successful welder. He was a loving and caring man, a devoted father, beloved son, brother and friend. Timothy's strong love for his family was evident in all that he did, professionally and personally.
Timothy was preceded in death by his father, Robert Ratley; brothers: William Birmingham and Eric Bales.
Timothy is survived by his son, Kyle Ratley of Red Oak, IA; mother, Barbara Harber of Marshall TX; sister, Tiffany Self and husband Robert of Fort Worth, TX; and brother, Patrick Harber of Marshall, TX; other relatives and friends.
Graveside service to honor and remember Timothy will be held
Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, Iowa
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. for procession to the cemetery.
Visitation with the family present at Sellergren-Lindell-DeMarce Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
