Trudy Kay Holaday, the daughter of Richard C. and Lorraine S. (Stone) Parsons was born December 5, 1954 at Fort Dodge, Iowa. She passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at the age of 64 years, 9 months and 20 days, at the home of her daughter in Villisca, Iowa, following a battle with cancer.
Trudy was raised in Bancroft, Iowa until she her teenage years, when the family moved to Algona, Iowa. Trudy was united in marriage to Thomas J. Anderson on September 27, 1975 at Des Moines, IA. They made their home in Algona and in 1987 to Red Oak, where Trudy worked for factories and helped manage fast food establishments. After Tom's passing, Trudy made her home in Cumberland and worked for Henningsen Construction and Plastic's in Atlantic. Trudy loved watching and feeding hummingbirds, her dog, Bitty and cat, Lucie. She had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her garden flowers and plants. Trudy relished being outside, especially during the summer months when the temperature was "the hotter, the better."
Trudy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas on June 21, 2004; and sisters: Pat Bourne and Karla Clarke.
Trudy is survived by her children: Misty Anderson of Villisca, IA; Amber (Joe) Baldwin of Red Oak, IA and Anthony (Stacy) Anderson of Red Oak, IA; 9 grandchildren: Wyatt Anderson and finance Michelle Kragel, Paden Anderson, Jacob Anderson, Calista Anderson, Jonathan Anderson, Nathaniel Anderson, Kally Carmichael, Halle Baldwin and Corbin Baldwin; brothers and sisters: Ron (Michele) Parsons of Burt, IA; Chuck Parsons of Algona, IA; Samuel Parsons of Algona, IA; David (Stephanie) of Laverne, MN; Rick (Mary) Parsons of Fairmount, MN; Rhonda Kutnick of Burt, IA and Terry (Sherry) Parsons of Burt, IA; Friend to the end, Donald Holaday of Cumberland, IA and his daughter, Samantha Holaday and children, Jayden, Riley, and Braydon; brother-in-law, Dennis Anderson; and sisters-in-law: Janice Frerichs and Camella Schaffer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
